“Together with the entire Board of Directors, we have been working to promote and enhance the value of having local companies that are located within the park for some time now, giving each of them a symbol of territorial recognition.”
We have always been proud and thankful when local businesses of the territory become internationally known. By doing this, they are promoting Cilento and its name along with that of the whole area including the perimeter of the National Park of Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni.
Over 130 farmers are currently participating in the initiative that has been taken by the park since many of them have achieved important goals at a national and international level. The intention of the Park is to fulfill these goals by stimulating and involving the local workers and by using an effective means of marketing so that these high quality products can represent more and more the local area. It is important to promote these products on a bigger scale.
The Park’s Trademark has been established to protect the traditional heritage along with the typical products made within the local region by the local companies. This production system is brought together by encouraging and making high quality goods while supplying services and methods practiced within the local community. In particular specific characteristics need to be kept, ones that belong to the territory of the Natural Protected Area while also giving a lot of importance to the Mediterranean Diet as a complete system.
The reason for giving an internationally known name to the park is to create new opportunities for its local companies, producers and the young people who can create new jobs by using and enhancing the resources of the territory. An example of something beautiful that also becomes useful. When there is passion along with quality, and the local people are desired to work their own land, business results are positive, just like they have been for other companies who have been described in this publication. Ones that have exported a large part of their product abroad.
Recently, PNCVDA has also started new innovative strategies to promote some of the most typical products of Campania.It wants to promote them in particular beyond the region of Campania and that of Italy. With these initiatives, awareness about great wines and an amazing food heritage, that lies in this region, will be spread after participating in events and shows at a national and international level.
The hard work of the companies has also been paid off, especially those of the companies whose manufactures have exported within Europe and the various continents.They hold important and prestigious economic awards that reward the businessmen for their initiative. These companies that export goods from our territory, have spoken to the world, enhancing the reputation that our land has been able to gain, after they had been recognized by important international organizations.
At the same time all of the migrants and their descendants who live “elsewhere” should be remembered. They came from a land where they were intended to live, as they are also a symbol of the strength of local strategies that our people have transplanted, making their way, in every place. The land of the forefathers sends the most affectionate greetings to them.
